just drop any tips you have to help making purging easier.
for example: which foods are better to vomit and which ones are a nono because of their inconvenience, etc.
also, what sort of tricks do you use to purge? (your fingers, a toothbrush, etc.)

My best tip would be running away from bulimia as soon as you can.
The easier these type of mechanisms become, the harder it gets to recover.

sorry but that's not happening soon, other wise i wouldn't be on this forum lol. the reason i need to purge it's because I've been struggling with binge eating due to stress (and eating too much isn't healthy either) so i need tips in how to purge so that when i binge i can at least puke the food that wasn't necessary on the first place

I know it seems like purging would just make the binge not count, and it'd be great is bulimia worked exactly like that, but once u purge ur binge u just binge again because u think "oh well I can get rid of it now and im still hungry" and it becomes a vicious, mouth rotting, organ damaging cycle. Yea, binging isn't healthy, but binging and purging is even unhealthier. We just don't want to give tips because we don't want you to suffer like we have. Like Hygge said, the easier it all becomes the harder it is to recover or even go back to restricting, u usually end up gaining more weight than u started at.

it starts off with purging one cookie or binge because u think it will fix things and next thing u know ur in ur basement every night eating 2 pizzas and a gallon of ice cream (after already having a BP earlier) and puking into a garbage bag. Then passing out and/or being scared for ur life because u puked up blood but ur scared of the hospital. and thousands of dollars in extra, preventable dental bills. and so much money wasted on binge food. and permanent organ damage. :/

purging turned my one-binge-per-day into purging all day, every day spending hundreds in a day to buy binge food, rotting teeth, losing friends, two suicide attempts, mulitiple emergency room visits in a month, not being able to hold down a job, dropping out of university, multiple inpatient stays, fucked up digestion, buckets of vomit in my room, drug and alcohol abuse, and not being able to eat with others. sorry, no tips from me.

Yea lets not forget about the vomit bucket if ur feeling fancy, or a hot topic bag that used to have cute clothes in it that you bought for when u lost weight but that hasn't happened yet cus ur too busy b/ping!!!!! Love when ur too weak and tired to dump ur bags so u leave it in ur closet or under ur bed and it gets maggots and mold in it but ur too desensitized to it to even care and then ur parent finds them! good times!

yea this is added to the list of things that suck, out of every dumb thing ive done that's the most embarrassing to be caught with. id rather my mom walk in on me snorting smth than finding a fucking bag with puke in it. Because to a regular person there's no explanation. in their mind there is no reason this should happen. AND YOU SAY oh that's gross id never do that. You do, once u go down this path its just a matter of time for the "gross" shit to start happening.

The only tip I can give is to not purge. Starting purging is something I cannot begin to explain how much I regret. I started almost 4 years ago and I haven't stopped. It seems like an easy "solution" to binging but it's not. If you want to stop binging, you need to try to address the feelings that make you want to binge. Purging is not the solution, it won't help. Please talk to someone about this.

Also you mentioned a toothbrush above, dear god do not use a toothbrush. There are so many stories of people accidentally swallowing them, it's so insanely dangerous. If you do decide to start purging, avoid this method please.

this is the whole plot of the story, really....
then ya spend the next 6 hours wondering what your mum thought when she saw it? this is my predicament when she catches or sees stuff YIKES
she used to find so many water bottles and random things filled with puke under my bed when i lived at home. one time she left a clean bin i had been hiding the ralph in on the counter so i could see, but still never a word

pls dont fall into purging its not good, i get u binge a lot, we all do we've all been there but just like ride the wave & you'll snap out of it & go into restriction. purging isn't the answer & i wish someone told me that all these years ago

I take it you are not a purger? Keep it that way, please.

My purging ability has stripped me of all sense in food moderation.

I either eat everything in sight or nothing at all in recent years.

No such things as portion control anymore.

Binging or fasting is killing my mentality.

Don't use a toothbrush!

Almost swallowed a toothbrush.

Been using fingers ever since the day.

Alright, if you MUST (because I have a suspicion you're gonna try it anyway) heres some harm reduction

-If you're using your fingers, MAKE SURE to wash your hands first! Seems like a no brainer, but you'd be surprised. And make sure your fingernails are short and neat.

-Do NOT flush (ie, drinking a bunch of liquid and purging that afterward) because it will dehydrate you, mess with your electrolytes, and can cause organ damage.

-do NOT use an object like a toothbrush. There has been many a tale of swallowed objects floating through this forum.

Obviously, the best advice here is to not do it at all. Purging is nasty business. You don't want it, trust me.
