Hello everybody!!

After successfully compleating the Chocolate Diet for 7 days and losing 7 lbs in 7 days by eating more than 2500 cals of chocolate daily ( you can find the whole experience and my results here, with details, http://www.myproana.com/index.php/topic/79676-the-chocolate-diet/) I started wondering, like many of you, if this would also work with other types of food.

I mean wouldn't it be wonderful if we lost weight and never had to count calories again? Sure.

Imagine what your suspicious parents and friends would think if they saw you eat all that food.No one would be suspicious if they saw us eat chocolate, cheese or ice cream in public!

If only we could eat over 2000 calories(like in the chocolate diet) and lose weight. It sounds crazy!! It is craziy...it is mono!!

The frightening part is that if ANYTHInG goes wrong or doesn't work, you will end up gaining, and I mean gaining A LOT.

NOT all foods are sutable for a mono diet.

Wouldn't it be geat to know which foods work and which don't?

Well after my mono diet experience, and because of my curiosity and my obsession with thin, I decided to stop waiting and figure this out myself.

Why am I doing this? - Because I want to make and share a safe food list, so that everybody will know which food will work and which won't, without the risk of gaining. We will also get to know which food work better than others.

I am going to try it with several types of food, I will try them out one by one. I will be doing this for 1-3 days for each food, and keep you posted daily. I will share my results and my experience here.

I am open to food ideas.

So, if you are thinking of starting a mono diet, you may wait and see how this works for me and stay safe from gaining..

  • DURING THE MONO PLAN I AM GOING TO EAT ONLY ONE FOOD FOR SEVERAL DAYS, AND NOTHING ELSE.
  • NO CHEWING GUMS, NO LOW CAL SNACKS. NO DIET SODA. NO TEA. NO COFFEE. ONLY THAT SPECIFIC FOOD.
  • I AM GOING TO DRINK ONLY WATER AND NO OTHER LIQUIDS.
  • THE FOOD HAS TO BE A SINGLE TYPE, NOT A MIX (NO INGREDIENTS)
  • NO SPICES OR SAUCES
  • NO VITAMIN SUPPLEMENTS OR PAIN KILLERS (IN CASE OF HEADACHES)

THE MONO CONCEPT IS THAT YOU CAN EAT A LOT OF A PARTICULAR FOOD, BUT NOTHING ELSE, SO THAT YOUR BODY DOES NOT DIGEST IT PROPERLY, AND YOU DON'T ABSORB THE CALORIES. THERE IS NO CALORIE COUNT.

Although I do not count calories while on this diet, i try not to eat huge portions (so that my stomach will not expand). I try to eat 400-500gr of food per day. You could also try it with smaller amounts of food, if you are starting at a very low BMI.

Also I do not to eat after 7pm (I always did that). Having a good night sleep is very important for weight loss here.

I will prefer food that is easily digested and melts before it's swallowed. (like peanut butter, fudge, nutella, ice cream, cheese etc.)

THIS DIET CAN BE VERY UNHEALTHY AND CAUSE SERIOUS AND PERMANENT DAMAGE TO YOUR BODY.

YOUR BODY MAY NOT GET NUTRIENTS WHILE ON THIS DIET.

I DON'T WANT TO CONVINCE ANYONE TO DO THIS DIET.I JUST WANT TO SHARE MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND HELP PEOPLE THAT HAVE ALREADY DECIDED TO DO IT.

So that's it!! wish me luck!! :) :)

MY STATS

Starting weight: 54,9Kg

Height: 173cm

Calories usually consume: 350-500cals

YOU CAN FIND ANY INFO YOU NEED ADOUT MONO DIETS AND HOW THEY WORK, INCLUDING HOW MUCH YOU SHOULD EAT AND MY SUGGESTED MONO DIET PLAN, ON MY PROFILE PAGE

I def will put a rice mono diet on my list. I did this before for 3 days but i had no idea mono diets were a thing. I loved eating rice only. So i may retry it because i know my body won't crave things or find it difficult. If i do, I update my experiences in my blog for sure (u guys have to tooooooo) lol

I've always been curious about (and terrified of) the butter diet. There are versions where you just have butter and versions where you eat a tons of butter but with small amounts of other foods. Obviously, it's a short-term thing, but I'm not sure of the days.

That sorta sounds like fat fasting. They make your calories come from at least 90% of fat and you eat about 1000 kcal. I'm thinking about doing something similar this Friday-Sun if the scale doesn't move *shakes fist at evil device*

...b- butter? *faints dead away* I could NOT volunteer for that one! :p

I second that ice cream/sorbet/frozen yogurt and nutella would be amazing. I'm so interested about the cheese one, and rice sounds fun too. Would marshmallows work, do you think?
