(not a midriff or crop)

personally, i'd say a 26in waist is on the lower side of normal/the higher side of small. it depends on your height.

i have a 25in waist and i'm 5'2.5 - 5'3

*DELETED*

unfortunately you can't choose where you lose weight, sorry.

Considering you're 5'1 i'd say it's average. For your measurements, to be an hourglass you would need a 24in waist because you need a waist-hip difference of at least 10in. However, because your bust is 4in smaller than your hips you would technically be a pear, not an hourglass. A small waist would be 20in- 21in for your height (in my opinion).

For reference, mine is 24 inches and I'm 5 foot tall. I don't think it can go down much more even if I tried.

According to my wrist measurement I'm on the border of small and medium build, which is weird but there is literally the bare minimum of fat on my wrists.

My hips and chest are both 33 inches.

I don't know if waists sort of change with age though, I'm 46.

And I'm sort of straight shaped, sort of?!

I have a photo in Selfies forum, once you have access, the recent photo thread. Though I'm a bit covered up.

26" is pretty small by most people's standards. There's only so much you can do about your waist size--it depends on your hip/ribcage shape, organ placement, muscles, etc. Even if you were severely underweight, you might not be able to get much smaller. Don't buy into the stupid waist-trainer fad, either, if you've looked into it--it won't permanently reshape your body once you take it off. Only custom waist training corsets worn all day (essentially) for years will get you any permanent reduction, at the cost of losing your core muscles and looking tiny-but-flabby. Better to lose the weight that you want and work out your waist--having a nice-looking stomach is more important than measurements that no one will ever know!

This. I have a friend who has the teeniest, tiniest waist, but it's because she has a long torso, and a bigger gap between her ribcage and hips. As for me, I've been thin my whole life, but have never been below 26 inches (usually 28-29), and have a pretty straight up-and-down figure (a little pear-shaped). My torso is shorter and my ribcage practically meets my hips.

Pic is of me with a 28 inch waist. I'm 5'6", btw. (I'm paranoid and had to cover up a potentially identifying bikini.)

I have a 26" waist. My measurements are 35-26-37 so I guess I'd be considered pear shape? I'm not sure. I'm 4'11.5" and used to have a 21-22 inch waist so I don't consider 26 inches to be small on me at all, but it might be small on you. Generally I'd consider it pretty average for someone my height though.

And here's pictures. Sorry for the fatness.

idk if it's small, i think it depends on the person. like if i was my HW with a 26" waist that would be abnormally small, but being at my lowest weight now (which is not low at all lol), it's just normal to me ??? i also think it depends on how it compares to your other measurements, and the "shape" of your waist. if you have wider hips, it may appear to be quite small or like if your it's round it would look narrower from the front than if it was more of an oval shape. if that all makes sense lol

I'm 31-24.5-33 and I'm pretty short. Sorry, I don't have the time to share a picture (and I kinda don't wanna for safety purposes) but I don't consider my waist to be very large. It looks nicer than it used to look.

oh btw I everyone's pictures look lovely <3

Accurate.

You'd need to get your waist down to 10 inches less than your bust and then get your hips down to at least within (I think) 3 inches of your bust. An ideal hourglass has identical hip and bust measurements (like the famous 36" 24" 36").

All that is hard as fuck and I doubt you have enough fat on you to do any of this, so you'd be forced to lose muscle which is dumb and extra unhealthy.

I plan on corseting down to 18."

Lot's of info on that here.

Victoria's Secret models all have waists of like 23-25". Personally, I still felt fat when my waist was 25" so it's all subjective.
