What do you eat to break a fast?

When I fast I normally end up eating something my parents made for dinner whether that's fatty, oily cheesy pizza (like today fml) or salads.

Like, I don't really want to eat it but I only eat so they don't suspect anything.

I know something light is best, like watermelon, but I don't always put it into practice. One time when I broke my fast I didn't eat too much, but I still felt as if I was going to have a heart attack for some reason

on shorter fasts: a bowl of oatmeal, or a bowl of soup. recently I've liked having sweet potato and bean Chuli, but without any chili. I just sit down and eat it but I have a reasonable ~200 kcal portion.

For longer fasts I start off with a bit of smoothie or soup, and then when I feel okay with solids I have some dry toast or crackers.

I broke my last fast with a cup of almond milk and then had some sweet potato. I prefer carbs because I digest them easier.
