for example i know olive oil for cooking/salads is seen as a big no-no, but it’s literally one of my fave condiments and it’s so nutritionally dense despite being fatty (it’s actually the good fats btw) so i have it with every salad!
what is one of your go-tos that you regularly eat and don’t freak out over, but other anorexics would probs find horrifying? 🙈
(sorry if this is already a thread! will delete)

Bread, granted it's a low cal version or else homemade but it's safe for me!

Most junk food for me, just in small portions. Sometimes I'm more scared of a banana or an apple than I am of some chocolate just because chocolate actually feels worth the calories. Healthy food I like is usually safer than sweets, but healthy food I'm just neutral about feels like a waste of calories a lot of the time.

totally agree 👍🏻 if u don’t actually enjoy it then it always feels like a waste. like i would much rather a peperami stick, that’s like 112 calories but actually flavourful and satisfies a salt craving, than an apple that’s half that

a lot of unhealthy/processed foods. most ppl stay away from them but they are often safer to me than healthier foods which feel like a waste of cals since i dont enjoy them and feel unsatisfied after eating them. as long as they fit in my cal limit they are fine - excluding foods that are extremely calorie dense/ i will get urges to binge on/ will make me want to purge

Raw unprocessed coconut oil (within reason but like it's a safe fat for me since it has so much flavor for how little I use and I can control it without feeling "bingey" with it, i.e. 40 calories worth satisfies me while still feeling indulgent)

Unsweetened/extremely dark chocolate. Yes a 100 calorie block of very dark chocolate is like in my top 3 safest foods, a go-to weight loss staple for me, and makes me feel happy and spoiled.

Ham, it's mostly protein with a tiny bit fat which I don't mind and almost zero carbs.

Never heard anyone else have it as a safe food which surprises me. Thinking it might be processed and unhealthy but still better than junk food, maybe it's the sodium?

A 400g pack I get is between 350 - 400 cals

I really love pizza and pasta, obviously they can be quite high in calories depending on the toppings/sauces, but I feel like I can justify it if it’s just my OMAD. What’s strange though is that I’ll have a complete breakdown over something small like a normal cup of tea with soya milk, yet I don’t panic the same way about higher-calorie foods like pizza or pasta

chocolate!!! it's legit actually low cal if ur disciplined n i nvr hv more than 1 block at a time maximum 3 blocks a day
also (burger king) fries. i hate it i feel guilty while eating it but i like it. i dont eat it often. but if we're having fast food it's my safe option.
