I don't bother counting black coffee, tea, diet drinks, infused water, or veggie broth. Anything that's less than around 10 calories per cup or so I give my brain a rest and assume that I compensate for the negligible calories by underestimating my activity level.

Diet drinks I don't count because it's a negligible amount, same with tea or black coffee, but if I get Starbucks or a protein shake or juice or whatever else I count it.

On a fast I only have "0" cal drinks so there's no need to count them, but I guess if I were feeling super awful and had to go out but didn't wanna fully stop the fast I'd drink something sugary and small without counting it?

edit: sugary and small as in like.. a 50 cal cup of juice or something

I think 50 is the absolute cutoff if I were fasting, past that I'd say the fast ended and I'd either go back to restricting or restart the fast

Not for tea, coffee or diet drinks. But if I was having cappuccino that would be different. I'd count the cals in that.

I don't like drinking my calories.

I count them. But I get through 4-6 energy drinks in a day lol. Really hurts my total calories 🤣

i just drink a little bit of tea and 10cal hot chocolate, so i'll usually subtract about 50cals from my intake to account for those liquid calories

I count them if they aren't plain tea/black coffee/diet pop/monster zero

Because all of those things are around 10 or less calories and I round up all my meals usually by like 20-50 calories so I feel like that covers the amount of those things I have daily lol

If they have calories I count them.

But I try not to have calorie drinks during fasting.

Usually water.

I'd prob have diet drinks if I had them.

Or diet energy drinks.

I did read somewhere that having 50 cals

or less of liquid calories doesn't count during a fast.

I don't know how true that is but I've seen it said a couple

of times.

Cause I wanted to have coffee with creamer during my fast.

Let me see if I can find the link...

Okay well I found one article but I'm not going to

link something that requires a lot of reading.

Anyways.

I don't really drink calories during fasting because

I usually have coffee during my eating window in the morning

and that keeps me okay all day.

I tried to have coffee during my fast times

and didn't feel good.

Maybe it was just too much caffeine idk.

But like I said I'd prob drink no cal or low cal

drink during my fast if I had them.

And I'm not sure if that means less than

50 cals per day or 50 cals per drink.

I would think less than 50 per day would be okay.

Or less than 50 cals total for entire fast.

Although idk what breaks the fast honestly.
