Would a dentist be able to tell straight away if you're bulimic?

I'm curious because I can't physically see too much or any damage for that matter on my teeth. However I have a check up soon and I'm getting quite anxious. I use mouthwash each time I purge and my teeth don't look yellow at all and there's no evidence of enamel missing.

It depends.

I've had bulimia on and off for years (35 to be precise) and my teeth are in good nick amazingly. No dentist has ever commented.I told my dentist a few years ago.

eta I do have some sensitivity, but not always.I've had a few fillings over the years.
Same here, bulimic for 12 years without issues thus far.

It depends how well you've been able to take care of your teeth, I've struggled with eating disorders for about a decade but bulimia specifically for six years and no dentist has ever been able to tell. I've actually been told by my dentist that my teeth are incredibly healthy, which was a relief because I was always worried they'd somehow be able to tell.

Long story short, yeah they might be able to tell something's up, but probably not
