I'm taking sertraline (zoloft), and while it warns that is causes weight gain, in my case it has been helping with my weight loss. I take it for anxiety rather than depression, but it really has suppressed my appetite for some reason. I'm at my lowest weight that I've been at in some time thanks to those little pills plus restricting.

*I'm thinking it's because when I would get anxious before, I'd eat food, and I'd eat it way too fast, haha.

Currently on 100mg but I convinced my doc to up it to 200mg a day~

**It also said that it decreases sex drive, but I have not found that to be the case either.

I stared sertraline on Monday, I feel like a zombie, I'm having all the side effects, I used it in 2014 but stopped for personal reasons. But now Im taking it again. For how long have you been taking it?? Xx

Wellbutrin is strongly contraindicated in individuals with eating disorders because it lowers the seizure threshold, which both restricting and bin/p'ing already do as well. No responsible doctor will prescribe it to someone who does either or both of those things. Just FYI.

I have been taking it since the end of February, and at first, it did make me feel a bit off.
Once I got use to my dosage, however, it really wakes me up.

Right now I take 200mg in the morning around 7:30am, and it suppresses my hunger until around noon.* It makes me feel energized, almost like I'm taking a stimulant.

Granted, it's not helping a ton with my anxiety, but I haven't had a major binge on it since I started (nothing over ~200).

*I do usually drink a large coffee with stevia and a splash of skim milk.

Does anyone have any experience with Lexapro? My doctor just decided to put me on it because I forgot the other brand names of what I used to be on...and that was the only name that could come to mind I guess? Ugh. So far one person I know has said they lost their appetite for a few months.
