What do y'all think about clif bars?

I'm trying to cut unnecessary sugar and clif bars have a crap ton of sugar in them. I used to eat one everyday for a school snack when I don't want to come downstairs and make something; so I take a clif bar and eat it when low on energy. Now, I don't eat them and I really miss them. They are the second thing I looked forward to everyday and I crave them. I tried to substitute them with peanut butter or a lower calorie bar but it isn't working.
What do you guys think about them? Do you eat them?
P.s, I workout for an hour and a half every single night and try to stay under 1,500 calories a day. I try to get in as much exercise as I can everyday like running up and down the stairs for two hours or ten minutes every time I go to the bathroom.
My stats are 5'3 and 126 pounds (last time I weighed anyway).

No. They're just blocks of sugar. I recommend Larabars as a replacement if you'd like an alternative. Still relatively high in calories, but there is no added sugar or excessive, unnatural ingredients. Plain fruit is even better. Much lower in calories, zero fat, and as natural a source of sugar and carbs as it gets.

I loveeeeee them for a treat for after my workouts! yes they are quite high in sugar but oh well *shrugs* I don't really care about the macro bs

Oh yeah bars are nice too

They have so many carbs and stuff that they're really only meant to be eaten if youre doing an intense workout I believe. I like them on occasion because I can eat one over the course of like an hour if I try but the carbs and sugar don't really justify it for me. I know this isn't a bar, but I eat a lot of oatmeal and it helps to satisfy my sugar cravings sometimes! I'd say try to find maybe a snack you could replace the clif bar with instead of a granola bar because most bars don't fill me up and aren't worth the carbs. Sorry this was sort of long but I hope something was helpful lol!

White choc macademia/coconut white choc are my favorite. But oatmeal raisin and almond fugde are good too. I eat high calorie bars once in awhile because I cant afford it too buy them everyday. With the amount of exercise you do a cliff bar wouldn t be that bad too get sugar from. I think? But why not cutting the bar in half and eating it. Or maybe try making a cliff bar yourself with lower calories. Or replace it with something else low in sugar. Maybe a low carb protein bar.

i used to eat them before VB practises n stuff until i got sick of them and read the nutrition facts/ ingredients. now i'd rather be spending half those calories on a crap ton of fruit, thankyouverymuch

Like....it pains my mouth to chew them.

Also I wouldn't think twice about them pre ED , but honestly.......CLIF bars were the one food that triggered every single fucking binge I had in the beginning of my Ed.......so no...I think if I don't associate CLIF bars with fear I would still eat them. But honestly I've realized there are way better options with more overall nutrients with less calories or the same than a CLIF. Also like they taste so bad....gah this is just me bein a bitch.

Honestly it's fine considering your intake and your lifestyle. Who am I to tell u CLIF bars aren't worth it

I hate them. I would rather eat a real candy/chocolate bar instead of Cliff because they pretty much have the same amount of sugar in it anyways and a lot of times the calories are almost the same.

I used to love them tbh but then like I left em for a while and the last time I had my favorite one (peanut toffee buzz) I was like meh. I kinda got more into the Quest bars (still no coffee flavor tho so that particular Clif is special still X) and idk like they're so rice-y which I'm not too fond off (probs where all the sugar comes from idk? )
basically I'm okay with them but I prefer Quests, except Peanut Toffee Buzz shall be my OG always XD I don't work out exactly so I don't think I need all the carbs in Clifs tbh. And if the sugar bothers you tm then almost every other flavor has a sub, like PB bars everywhere as other brands, and I think Luna has a white chocolate macadamia nut, and Lärabar, etc.. but if you rlly like them and can fit them in your intake then like why not? c: I'd much rather eat smth I 100% like than smth else that just isn't 100% like less calories or not bc then you're just unsatisfied & that sucks >_>
And considering you work out then the carbs and sugar p much are kinda necessary right? Idk I'm a couch potato XD ik I don't exactly require tm carbs XD

for about a year i had to do hyperbaric oxygen treatment and one of the requirements of it is that you eat within an hour before and an hour afterward. i bought protein bars because they were easy to transport and convenient. i did have a requirement that it have the most protein and the least sugar, so i settled on pure protein bars. the robert irvine ones are okay, and the MET-RX ones are just too big. quest . . . yeah, i didn't start on them and i tried them after reading stuff on here and i'm just over it.

one day i forgot it and the tech said oh here i have a clif bar so i ate it. i was BUZZING lol. then i looked at the sugar count and i was like oh no way.

protein bars kind of suck, actually. i mean, yeah, they have some protein, but they aren't very natural and they either have a lot of sugar or sugar alcohols.

it will take you awhile (anywhere from a couple of weeks to a month) to stop craving them, but you will. just substitute some lean protein--i don't know if you eat meat or not, but egg whites/light string cheese if you do, seitan or a little piece of tempeh if you don't. OR, there's a pure fruit one, that isn't sweet: https://jet.com/product/detail/086dee5ddde94960880132549f0e0638?jcmp=pla:ggl:a_jd_cons_cwin_food_beverages_tobacco_a3_b1:food_items_snack_foods_cereal_granola_bars_a3_top:na:pLA_648139427_39624815584_pla-154147767180:na:na:na:2&code=PLA15 they're on sale at the grocery all the time and you can get them at target. they aren't sweet but you could definitely wean yourself off clif bars with them.

p.s. these fruitfull© bars are SO good if you can find them: http://www.happyandhealthy.com/fruitfull-frozen-fruit-bars/

No way, lol. They had an issue a while back where people found larvae in them. Ruined it for me.

Whenever I think of clif bars, I think of my life pre-ED. I used to eat one of those in the morning b4 soccer practices. They are pretty good (my fav flavor is white chocolate macadamia nut), but idk if I could accept eating that many cals anymore. Maybe if I was tryna recover
