i have an insane fear of water retention. like, i’m literally afraid of water. every time i drink after b/p and weigh myself the next morning, the scale’s up despite the fact i purged to morning weight or less. i know water pushes water and that hydrating will fix it, but i’ve tried and the weight hasn’t budged for months. ive tried magnesium, but maybe i wasnt consistent with it. i also just recently got potassium and b6 vitamims… are they going to help? any advice?

sorry for the tangent, but:
if you can manage to get some blood draws, that would help with potassium. I've been repeatedly told not to blindly supplement potassium and to get it from food whenever possible because it's dangerous otherwise.
Having said that, I know that electrolytes can get really messed up with purging, so if you can manage to find out what it's currently at for you and what your doctor says for your situation, that might help a lot with safety--especially if your doctor is aware that you don't necessarily keep everything down.

It's definitely good that potassium is on your mind, just be dilligent with that one.

have you tried tracking bathroom breaks, Bm's showers, clothing changes, and water vs weight?
