Walking and Muscles?

Hey y'all.

So, I have REALLY muscular calves. I know that's a common fat-logic excuse, but I swear to God my calves are rock hard. You can see the muscle lines in them. Only my calves are like this, though.

I'm getting a treadmill and want to walk on it quite a bit (used to Do 2 hour walks but I'm afraid to go alone) and I'm wondering if it will slim down my calve muscles?

I don't think it will bulk them, even if I used an incline (which My basic treadmill won't have, anyway) but I was curious.

Also, I won't be at a too large a deficit because I am trying one meal a day w/ max of 1000 calories.

Thanks in advance!

Not really. At least, not actively. Exercise stimulates the need to retain muscle so use of them will not actively work at slimming them. Walking is going to contribute to not losing muscle but losing muscle is ultimately inevitable for anyone on a calorie deficit. The only true way to work towards losing muscle is to not use it at all but that is all but impossible for something like the calf muscles.
