I’m on a weight loss journey and I’m so tired of people telling me to go the gym and do weights and intermittent fasting!! It literally does not work!!

How long are you consistent with it?

There are ALOT of factors that go into weight loss but patience and consistency are absolutely key

also when starring out it can take a (few) weeks to "show" bc of things like water and food weight and waiting for the whoosh

😭im litterily one of those ppl that tell others to do weights or body weight exercises at least. im a slut for what muscles can do and look like ig.

its also creating a deficit and not HATING what you are eating. its creating foods that u can vibe with or even love/look forward to eating. also patterns and habit helps a lot too

Soo yes and no.
Intermittent is effective as long as your in calorie deficit. Same with going to the gym and working out.
If your in calorie deficit you will not gain but support and tone your existing muscles. As you loose body fat, your underlying muscles will be more prominent and toned.
If your not in deficit then you gain more muscle. Without loosing body fat that just adds muscle under fat.

I personally do OMAD form of intermittent fasting. I eat 1 meal in the morning 7am-8am though I usually finish it in like 20mins.
Then I fast the remainder of the day drinking only zero calorie drinks.
I workout 4 days a week both cardio and streanth. If im feeling particularly worn down I'll only workout 3 days. I stay busy and go for walks/hikes as well.
After the 1st 2 weeks it became second nature and I had a ton more energy.
Im now 90lbs and went from a size 7 to 0

It’s all calories in and out. All other methods are just tools to help you accomplish that. Intermittent fasting can help some people lower their calories below maintenance but for some it doesn’t.

I say this not as advice, but because I think diet culture is super toxic because it has no actual basis in science. Simply put, if you eat under your maintenance calories, you will lose fat no matter what.
