I always rinse out my mouth brush my teeth, floss, rinse with mouth wash, then take a nice hot shower and get myself some gum after purging. its a nice way to calm my body down. then i do some streching before a nice long nap. What does your after purge care look like?

Rinse mouth with baking soda and drink two pints of water, one of which has potassium powder and magnesium powder in it, followed by a teaspoon of salt. Bam - electrolytes restored.

Rinse mouth sometimes with baking soda or tums if I'm not lazy, wipe puke off my face with a wet wipe then shower making sure to wash my face 2-3 times because if I don't then I break out bc I get soooo much vomit on my face

  • rinse with baking soda
  • drink a glass of water
  • lie down
  • wait patiently for death
  • go eat something disgusting and repeat the cycle

I just fall asleep at the opposite end of the bed next to a bag full of puke in a bucket, then wake up groggily after an hour or so to toss it out into my yard before anyone might open my door. Lame. Any dental care/hydration/restoration of electrolytes is just not going to occur before the next day unless insomnia gets me, in which case the sims can be mildly distracting sometimes.

First wipe the goop from my face and then wash it. Next I use mouthwash and wait 45 minutes to brush my teeth. Change my shirt or put it back on if I've taken it off. Use a Peter Thomas Roth pad to keep acne from sprouting up. Clean toilet in mean time. Rinse face again. Lip scrub and lip balm. Cough drop for sore throat.

This consumes way too much of my damn time.

Rinse mouth out, do NOT brush teeth. Drink a fuck ton of water (2litres+).

Rinse my mouth with water, wash my hands and face. Pray for death. If it was a big purge or especially nasty, I eat a banana, maybe a little bit of coconut yogurt, and/or drink some coconut water and eat a tiny bit of pink salt. Then, I drink a ton of water to fill up, brush my teeth after 20-30 minutes, take a shower. Cry. Cry some more. Take a bath. Go to sleep. Rinse repeat.

i never ever brush my teeth after--it rubs acid into the teeth/rubs away the enamel.

I normally try to flush my mouth out with baking soda. Sometimes i coat my teeth with baking soda for a bit. i always flush my mouth with water, and sometimes mouthwash. Often chew mint gum afterwards, but that's for smell

I know the health risks that come with purging and am terrified of hurting myself. Here are some things I've found that help.

Mouth - Rinse your mouth out with baking soda and water afterwards to combat the acidity of your vomit. Do NOT brush your teeth right away. This will strip away your enamel while it is in a weakened state and damage your beautiful smile. If you are worried about the smell, just pop a breath mint or a stick of gum (sugar free).

Hydrate - Always be sure to drink lots of water :) (but not too much or you'll just feel nauseous again)

Electrolytes - Replenish your electrolytes after purging. You can do this with a Gatorade, electrolyte supplements, or a healthy snack. I prefer the snack option because it it helps you feel full again and won't have all the guilt-inducing calories and sugar you find in sports drinks. If you do choose to snack afterwards, plan out exactly what and how much you'll eat before purging that way you will not be tempted to binge again. Here are some things I like:

- Calcium: Milk, almonds, kale, broccoli, beans, yogurt

- Magnesium: spinach, chard, almonds, beans, yogurt

- Potassium: Banana, spinach, beans, chard, yogurt

- Salt

Sticking to leafy greens is usually a good bet, they are rich in nutrition and low in calories, and its hard to overeat them. Avoid sweet things (even fruit) and carbs because those just make you more hungry.

Other Stuff - "Purging is only really effective for getting rid of calories within the first hour after eating. The simpler the carbs the faster they digest, and the more complex ones are often not so fattening that they are worth purging" I find that reminding myself of this helps me make excuses not to purge and limit the urge. In the end, the best thing you can do to protect yourself is limit the frequency.

I hope this helps,

Stay safe!

Wash my face/hands/wherever puke got on;

Rinse my mouth with warm baking soda and water solution - also swallow some of it to reduce acid feeling in throat;

I usually also eat something after, like a banana, or drink electrolyte drink/coconut water;

Take a shower and go to sleep (sometimes I skip showering).

Wipe down toilet with toilet paper, wash hands, wipe down toilet again with Lysol wipes until no spots or smells of vomit on or near toilet, wash hands and face, rinse mouth with mouth wash, re check to make sure everything is in order in bathroom, spray bathroom with air freshner, spray my body with body spray, drink powerade, take Prilosec because I like to think I'm not doing too much acid damage although I do have acid reflux, take a stacker 3, work out on treadmill for 20 or 30 minutes, drink some more powerade, chill out with the cat and watch tv or use the internet or have dinner ready until fiancé comes home from work. Can't have him getting the clue and start worrying. When he comments on how it smells so good in the house, just been on another cleaning spree. :)
