Has anyone ever done one?
Potatoes as in raw, uncooked ones. Not chips or fries. I was thinking maybe baked potatoes with no butter and a little salt, homemade wedges, and soup.

I'm oddly doing one today totally unplanned; just baking potatoes in the microwave. I've had about 4 medium potatoes, 2 smaller ones around 900 calories? I can let you know how it goes.
Lost two pounds, 6 potatoes as stated using a tiny bit of ketchup and mustard.

Def. helps to get a bowel movement!!

I'm almost done with my two week potato mono! It's great, but a little boring when going so long! I'm eating them either baked or boiled! Only the the occasional splash of hot sauce, no other condiments.

I'll include my progress photos. First is before, second is at the end of week 1, and last is from the other day!

I did a sweet potato mono and that was really good - I think I managed to go the whole day only eating 700 calories! And there were no negative side effects! Good luck!

Lmao found this thread too late bc I didn't want to make a new topic if there's already one on it

I heard of some guy that did the potato mono for an entire year? He was like 280kgs and ended up losing 50kgs which is really good tbh and he mentioned it helped with his mood, depression and lowered his cholesterol a crap load more than people that were on diets and trying to actively lower it. Bc it's almost new year I'm thinking a shitty new years resolution will probably be eating nothing but potatoes for a year like this guy lmao :')

I used to love raw potatoes when I was younger so it should be good and by the looks of it everyone seems to be losing a lot of weight on it, plus you can still order at restaurants etc. bc technically potatoes can come as fries/wedges/mash/baked and other forms ygm

I really want to do a potato mono but I'm unsure about a few things.

I would like to include baked potatos, boiled and mashed potatos. The thing is you need to add milk to the mashed potatos (in my case, soy milk) so, would adding the soy milk completly defeat the purpose of this mono?

Also, when I bake potatos I like to use a few spices, so again...would they be ok to use? (I use parsley, mostly)

And my biggest worry is if after the mono you actually gain some of the weight back, I read you gain a couple of pounds back but I'm afraid it leads to gaining more than a couple of pounds.

Mmm, potatoes w/ketchup. I've been craving that. Maybe I'll do a potato mono for a few days, I've already got 3 or 4 kinds in the kitchen
