How do you cope w being presented w food and forced to eat it at mandatory meals when you don't have the slightest clue what's in the food/ calorie content? I've never had to deal with this before and it's driving me insane and I'm sure it's making me fat.

before mealtimes i make sure they see me drink a crap tonne of water but of course there are situations where

the food is presented to you - and you weren't able to decide on the portioning (and then theres that momentary panic that ensues). In such cases i mush the food around on the plate and sort of section it to make it look like i've eaten some of it before I claim to be pretty 'full up'. ...but i'm not sure if any of those would work in your situation

perhaps you can ask to 'eat' in your room?

or just be straight up and say that you're not in the mood to eat?

Not very well lol

My parents were verrrrry strict with what I ate and when I ate at the start of my ed. Now not so much.

Just kind of use your head as to what's in the food I guess. Like a salad might be easier to break down visually but things like a lasagna (sorry first thing I thought of) have:
Pasta
Tomato sauce
Maybe meat/cheese
Vegetables
Etc. it's actually pretty hard to hide foods in dishes like that and anything you can't see, you'll have to go with out of sight out of mind. (Maybe allow a couple extra cal for oils???) guess it depends on how often you have to eat like this but I'm absolutely sure it's just anxiety and you aren't really getting fat xxxx

when I'm out w friends, the most pressure I'll get is weird looks and the occasional snide comment or casual question based on my food choices/amounts. when I'm w family, I will straight up cause a fight and storm anyway instead of eating.
