And how much do you weigh, and how tall are you?

I'm not currently underweight because I'm in pseudo recovery. I'm not entirely comfortable sharing my exact weight, but it's on the low end of the healthy BMI range.
I seem to maintain anywhere between 1200 to 2200. I gained on that from underweight though.

Wow, I am very similar. My bmi is also in the lower end of normal, although I'm very short, so the range at which I maintain seems to be 800-1500 depending. It's like I can plateau at any of those intakes. I really only lose if I really vary my intakes or do intermittent fasting (or real fasting :p)

I'm 5'2'' and weigh 104 pounds :) but that definitely varies day to day with how many calories I eat.. I easily gain pounds even if I eat under 500 calories! :(

I wish I wasn't too scared to figure this out

I'm the same way!! But I weigh a bit more than you. I can't figure out why my body gain from low cals. Do you exercise?
hey i just wanted to butt in this convo :b if u redtrict or fast alot then eat a large amount you gain alot of water weight plus food weight more thenn usual so its probably not fat weight. You can gain up to 10 pounds in water weight expeshaly if its carbs or high sodium :) i think that is why people have to slowly introduce food again like soups and shakes then solids because your body trys to adapt to whatever its used to so thats why itþfreaks out when you all of sudden change and eat a normal or more food

Rn it seems like a lot but I was 94 lbs and maintaining at 1700 calories. It was probably because I was really active with school and job. Now though, I have gone back to 1000-1200.

5'1 and 105 maintaining with 1000. i gain with 1200 though isnt that nice.
i lose with <800
How do you maintain a low weight like that with a high amount of calories? How did you lose weight? Did you restrict a lot or? I really want to be thin but still have a higher weight maintaining calorie intake so i dont easily gain!

am I right in thinking if we eat the amount calculated to maintain the weight we want to be at we'd slowly lose till we're at that weight and then it would be maintained?
for example at 5'7 and 125 my BMR would be 1440, so in theory if I eat 1440 I'd eventually hit 125lb... though I feel like I've been eating less than that for long enough and yet I haven't reached that goal??

That is how it would work in theory. But there are other factors to consider, like metabolism and exercise. The weight loss would be medium-fast at first, and then it would drastically slow down when you get closer to your goal. I've thought about doing it that way, but I'm not patient enough, lol.

I think I am going to start to do this.
