Usually 30 mins is long enough. But it depends on the drug. A lot of drugs break down in the intestine, like most extends release tablets. But on an empty stomach it should only take 10 or 20 mins.

 

im afraid to purge when i take medicines because i mostly get them out to... even after a long time..thats why i barely eat when im taking them

 

If you take a contraceptive pill, you need to wait at least 3 hrs until it really works, that's the most relevant information for me, saved my life not only once.

 

I used to be on acne medication that wouldn't work with certain foods so I was advised to wait two hours either before eating or after eating. So I'd say 2 hours.

 

2 hours for anything hormonal that needs to be absorbed
