Many of us don't restrict super low. Other than Christmas, my day of eating lol, I very rarely binge and i restrict higher, usually 1000-1400 per day. Going super low has usually led me into a BP cycle. And I hate BPing so I'd rather restrict higher. There are those with AN-BP as well.

yes. most of us that lose steadily and get to very low weights restrict higher with minimal binging.

i'm also a high restrictor. if you eat enough food every day, you won't be as likely to just want to eat everything in sight.

it depends on what you're calling a binge, as well. i've had days where i can eat a lot of food, but probably not over 3000 calories. i think that's a lot of food, but i wouldn't call it a binge.

i was a binge drinker for years though.

I restrict between 300-700 calories a day and 1-2 times a week (or bi weekly) I end up giving myself a 1000-1100 calorie day. I usually fast a day or two out of the week also.. I've got a weird thing going but I've noticed if I have a 1000-1100 day once a week or once every 10 days or whatever, it stops me from eating any higher than that.
I still call that a binge though, because it feels like so much.

I restrict high and exercise myself down to a low net. On the daily, I don't have any binge urges. But obviously I still have some every couple weeks especially around my time of the month. on the days that I do, I give in. Within limits. I consume maybe 1800-2100 (depending what I ate before already) in a matter of 1 hour, stop, and get myself to the gym. I exercise purge it and take laxatives. You can't deny yourself it totally, because a) you'll be thinking about a binge constantly and b ) your body needs the food whether it's nutritious binge or not. Just work it off! It's okay to binge, but it's not okay to dwell on it. The more you dwell, the more you binge the next day (i found)

Drinking water and diet soda helps me. I also try to just stay away from food if I'm having the urge.
Or if I'm really hungry I just make myself exercise before so I feel better about it...

Today I swear to god is my last day of cheating (ughhh) but before Christmas I was totally content to just go in the bulimia forums and just look at the pics of the binge hauls while drinking tea and then work out. I've eaten ALL of that food before and know what it tastes like so I can imagine it. I was in a super good place. I told myself I could have this week to enjoy and then I'm back at it again.

It helps me to have structure. I schedule times for when I'm allowed to eat, I don't eat certain foods, I measure everything that I eat, I log everything I eat...Just making up a bunch of arbitrary rules helps me. I think it's because it makes eating feel less passive, so it's more satisfying when I do eat and I don't feel as inclined to binge. Disclaimer, though; this helped me for a year, but then I started binging like fucking crazy despite it, so it's obviously not fool-proof. I feel like having too many rules might also stress some people out too much.

Hmm cause I only binge out of hunger thats why and I hardly feel hungry (due to a stable highish intake) soooo I dont binge?
