ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE FOR ALS:

So this girl is obviously extremely skinny. She has never made any statements about an eating disorder or any diseases, so what do you guys think?

I've been following her for a little while. I assume she has an eating disorder. Whether she does or not, she does seem to be a pretty cool person.

We are mutuals on tumblr and she has never lost weight throughout the years. However, originally I was convinced that she was mentally ill form first glance and her avoiding the topic is suspicious. I believe there is something causing her to be very thin, but it might not be an eating disorder and something else perhaps?

But I'm pretty sure she doesn't have an ED, she's never really lost weight she's always been extremely skinny.
Not to negate what you're saying about this particular individual, because I don't know her in the slightest, and you at least kind of do... But:
I really don't understand the logic of the above quote. My mother has also always been extremely thin--even as a child. Just as you claim for the girl in the video, she's never lost any weight either. But here's the thing: she's always been anorexic. She doesn't do the recovery/relapse thing. She just doesn't ever gain. So, because she's always been this way, everyone thinks she's naturally thin.
Not. Even. Close.

That could be the case, idk though. Most people don't start out extremely skinny, they typically end up losing a bunch of weight but if it's a really long term thing you could be right.

I am so mad that people are saying she's anorexic or only commenting on her weight, you don't know whether she has one for sure so can you fucking not.

It's odd because I don't know her personally and still feel concern for her. I just hope that she is ok and will be healthy some day. I can't assume she has an eating disorder but maybe an illness? Something is very unhealthy about being that thin.

To the people saying 'she must have an eating disorder to be that thin, it's not natural'- being unhealthily thin doesn't mean you must have an eating disorder, there are lots of reasons to be unhealthily thin! She may have another illness, she may be an exceptionally fussy eater, it's even possible that she just doesn't eat much food and has a small appetite. None of these things mean she's a healthy weight, but I know lots of people who are unhealthily thin just because they don't like a lot of foods, or because they don't like feeling full. One guy I know pretty much only eats garlic bread and popcorn, he says he just couldn't stand to eat anything else. One girl I know stopped ice skating, lost her appetite and lost weight- she wishes she could GAIN a stone.

I don't mean to labor the point, I just don't think we can really know unless she says anything. Even if she likes being that thin, she may not see it as difficult to maintain.

all of those things COULD be possible eating disorders. you don't have to want to be skinny and be restricting intentionally/BPing to have an ED. there are lots of other types of eating disorders that don't rely on the concept of weight loss. ARFID, to name one. just FYI. I'm not saying that she MUST have an ED, though I do not think her body naturally looks like that. I definitely agree that she has something wrong, whether is physically based or mentally based. (basically I'm agreeing with you, I just wanted to point out that there are other eating disorders that are less well known because they're not weight focused or actively emotion-regulatory)

She's built in a way that naturally skinny people are though... She doesn't lack much muscle tone I mean. So either she started from a very low weight, or she's always been like that.

EDIT: I rewatched the video, and I do see a lack of muscle tone in the arms a bit.

I wouldn't be surprised if she had an ED now, though I do believe that she most likely started from a fairly low weight to begin with.
