Guys, I'm thinking of buying a pair of Dr Martens, the black original ones, but I'm not sure if they are flattering or not? I think one of the parts I like the most of myself are my thin ankles and I feel like if the boots cover them they will make my legs look bulkier. On the other side, I read that the chunkier the shoes, the more skinny they make the leg look. What do you think?

It depends on how you're built. So if you have thin ankles and thin calves, Dr Martens will look good on you. Based on your BMI alone, you will definitely look good in those boots. IMO If you're not planning on getting above BMI of 20 you don't have to worry about it. And a lot of people above BMI of 20 look great in original Docs anyway.

But please, get the vegan ones. Based on reddit reviews for example, they're just as good as the leather ones and no animals were hurt in the process of making them.

I also think they'd make you look thinner.

but then, I don't wear Dr Martens and never have. I wear my boots almost knee-high and with higher platform so they actually make my legs look thinner.

Noo I was going to say that the outfit looked great! :p I really admire people with alternative styles because I'm not brave enough to wear that kind of things but I actually like them
aw thank you! <3 you're so nice :3
you know what, you have only one life, why not wear whatever you like then :3 not everyone will like it, but then, those who dislike are welcome to stop staring :p and so I think you should go for these boots if you feel like wearing them :3

It will probably make your feet look bigger then they are. I dont see how boots could make someone look fat!

mine don't make me look fat. Just make sure you get the right size, my size in DMs is actually a full size lower than my shoe size 'cause my foot is narrow af.

I have a pair of doc’s and they make my legs look much more slender.. they’re my favorite pair of shoes I own tbh.
