Do you like it when people buy you food?

I've come across a couple of posts on here where people say they feel guilty when people buy them food and that they don't like it?

I get so excited when someone buys me food that I can take home with me.
I kinda stash it in my room
And I'm really excited for Easter so I can store all the chocolate in my bedroom

What are your thoughts/feelings on people buying you food?

Depends.

If it's a random buy, like completely out of the blu, it makes me uncomfortable, like I don't know why they would? Also I'm a extremely fussy eater, so I don't like a large amount of things.

If it's my boyfriend or closest friend who brought me something I don't mind, they know my taste, and I know they only brought it because they either know or strongly believe I'd like it, or it reminds them of me in some way.
Edit: bf and close friend also won't get offended if I don't like it, because they know how limited my food range is.

I used to like it so much ! Now I think it would just piss me off. First i dont like eating in front of people and i feel like it'd be rude if someone bought me food and I didnt eat it with them ? And second if they buy me something, it's probably not something i really want or else i would've bought the damn thing myself so it's like... Useless calories if i eat it ? Idk, just thinking about it annoys me tbh (i know it's stupid because it's such a sweet attention but.. ugh)

On the other hand, offering food to other people ? Sign me tf up ! I just... love feeding people i love, is that weird ?

Feeding people is so much fun! Do you like baking for people too?

I honestly dont think there are many things in this world that bring me as much happiness as baking for people. I love cooking for people in general but baking is my absolute favourite ! I live in a tiny appartement with no oven so the only times i get to bake now is when i go visit my family and it just makes me sooooo happy to bake cakes and pies and cookies for my little sisters and my mom ! Especially the kids, their pure and innocent happiness in front of good food is so endearing ahh

my mom keeps buying me food which i didn't asked for recently. i'm pretty sure she's getting concerned about my weight because back when i was at my hw she didn't get me anything at all lmao! it makes me mad at times. she'll even make sure that i eat it in front of her.

It's sweet and thoughtful, but I can't help but feel pressure to eat it all. Every time my mom comes over she always has some kind of candy or treat for me, which is super nice!! But the only thing I can think about for the rest of the day is how many calories there's in it and how fast I'm gonna inhale it all.

So tl;dr I have mixed feelings about it. :p

Edit: also, I feel way too guilty throwing food away. IhatehowniceIalwaystrytobe!

it's kind of annoying. my family brings home food for me often and show it to me...

i appreciate it when people buy me things but i feel pressured to eat it, especially if it's something they got because they know it's one of my favorite foods. i just want to say "if you're going to use your money on me can't you get something OTHER than food??" but i don't want to be rude so i say thanks instead

I do, kinda, if they remember I'm vegan and buy me some bomb vegan food.

But if they don't then blehh

omfg my mom bought me food when she visited me and i hated it, i even told her only to buy tea. i was glad that she bought fruits but i c/s everything else and there are still cheese slices in my fridge that will probably turn bad because i'm not gonna eat them. i only like it when people buy me safe food.

I don't like holiday chocolate because for one i'm not a big chocolate eater to begin with and my mom overbuys...and two, because its empty calories. If i restrict i try to eat healthy food, and i would feel so guilty throwing it out but if i eat it, then that's empty calories replacing something more nutritious and filling.

However, when my mom insists on going out to eat once a week i hate the excess calories and dread the awkward silence but i love the food. I like to think that hopefully it just messes up my metabolism so i can restrict and lose, especially considering dad feeds me dinner twice a week too. So my intake is inconsistent.

if they would buy me shirataki noodles i wouldnt mind BUT they dont

i cant deal with people buying me food because i cant throw away a gift, wouldnt want others doing it if i gave them a gift,

sometimes i can get away with giving it as a gift for another person but it has its danger if it lies around and the craving will get bad and i might eat it which is the worst outcome

I like people buying me food if I know they're doing it. If it's a surprise and I'm trying to restrict or fast then I don't like it, obviously. But if it's well within my calorie limit for the day then that isn't really as much of an issue. It can just be anxiety provoking sometimes.

It depends? I both like it and I don't. If they're buying it me because they want me to eat more and I don't know the calories then it makes me feel uncomfortable and guilty, if they're buying it because they know I like it and they're not pressuring me to eat it then I'm fine but I still feel slightly guilty because I have a habit of hoarding food and it going out of date. It depends on the situation, though.
