If anyone needs an excuse to not eat something that contains Citric Acid (aka, like, all processed foods)...

Citric Acid is made from mold that's grown on corn syrup.

Which is nasty.

And foods that contain the stuff are basically all high-calorie processed junk.

;)

Not all foods containing citric acid are processed and nasty. Oranges, clementines, grapefruit, lemons, limes, and pomelos all contain high levels of citric acid naturally. And even foods like peaches and tomatoes contain lower levels of citric acid.

I put citric acid powder in chicken stock to give it a lemony flavour. I store it in a little container (dry) in my bag & then anywhere that has boiling water I have less than 10 cal broth that satisfies cravings.
