Hi all, I want to start taking biotin pills because my hair has been falling out in CLUMPS for a whole year now and I'm seriously balding to the point of no return. I've got some questions:

1. What dosage should I start off with? 500mcg? I've heard people get acne from it?

2. Which brand works the best / would you recommend?

3. Anything else I should know?

MANYYYY thanks! :)

I would actually recommend a type 1 collagen which is all over collagen support and a gelatin and silicon combo.
Collagen is a foundational support supplement for hair, skin, and nails and I've had great success in growing and thickening my hair with its use.

I started taking biotin about a year ago because I was pulling my head out in a certain spot and has a bald spot from it (yeah, idk why I was pulling it out haha) but anyway, the spot if COMPLETELY gone now. My hair is MEGA thick and growing like a luscious weed! Haha I did notice more breakouts when I first started using it but within 2 months they were totally gone! It's totally worth it in my opinion! On top of that, Sallys sells a shampoo called "Folicure" it works by clearing off excess oils and product off the scalp to allow new hair to grow in and tea tree oil stimulated blood flow to the scalp which promotes growth and makes you smell like a candy cane haha I loveee the shampoo. The "extra shampoo" helps to moisturize damaged and dry hair too! Win win win!! Haha

I work at sallys! Totally recommend both products! The oil and shampoo! Unfortunately we don't sell biotin. Boo! But you can get that like anywhere. I take 10,000 mg daily!

oh, and I use natures best! The brand of biotin I think even starting off you can do more than 500mg.
