That one where you have to send a pic of yourself holding a piece of paper with that data date to prove it’s a legit pic and have to be under BMI 18.5. I’m curious now and I’m under that BMI obviously (ana-r) but it seems like a lot of people claiming to be BMI 16-17 didn’t get in and I’m wondering if they’re actually taking new people

I’ve never been a member or had access to the members only parts, but I’ve lurked a lot and I remember there were these older users who were like, bothering a “rookie” (new user) for not being active enough or saying the wrong stuff in her posts... idk I don’t want to be in a forum with a hierarchy and where you’re not allowed to be a lurker lol

I heard they don't accept bmi >18.5 but also don't accept if ur bmi is too low?
iirc one mpa user here got accepted after she photoshopped her pic a little bit so her bmi looked a bit higher

idk tho it's very random
Yea I think they ask have a BMI cut off for minimum BMI, I tried so many times and didn't get accepted. My BMI is always pretty low

I'm pretty sure the owner is different now but I remember hearing bad rumours in the past about how the previous owner was some guy using the site as a way to get photos of young girls in their underwear and they got doxxed/investigated because some members were underaged. It was discussed in this thread. Someone also shared screenshots from there before if you're curious what it's like.

At one point I was tempted to join thanks to my curiosity but the fact that you have to send photos to join makes me feel icky because who knows who really sees the photos and what they do with them. Apparently they delete the photos after the application but there's no way they can prove that.

I mean I'm on MPA so I don't want to throw stones in a glass house and all... but Skinny Gossip has always sounded toxic AF. At least MPA is generally overwhelming inclusive and supportive. I get the draw but just...idk. I'd stay away regardless of BMI.

The owner is definitely creepy, but the thing about him wanting to see minors in their underwear is likely not true. It doesn't say anywhere that you have to be semi-naked in your photos. I took mine in shorts and a tank top which was basically my day outfit because it was summer.

They're not taking any new people at the moment.

It's a very cutthroat environment to put it like that, so they'll be able to figure out you're from MPA or you have an eating disorders within a few days. A lot of people from here or edtwt give themselves away.

Also there's a lot of content that new members or guests can't see, only members with higher access.
Tell me more, what is this exclusive content?

The don't talk back and 'we are not nice' doctrine hahahahaha

Beechy superior behaviour that is honestly laughable.

...photos of members' bodies and/ or faces. Lots of those come from the models and other fashion industry workers that are members there.
One thing I'm still a little curious about is if there's anyone actually famous on there. Are there any models who are actually notable or recognisable? I've seen them talk about industry insiders being on there but their behaviour seems very unprofessional so I would be shocked if anyone big from the fashion industry was really on there.

They take themselves so seriously like they're nothing more than what the name implies - a gossip site. Honestly it really is hilarious. They'd say stuff like "This is NOT a democracy, know your place. If you disrespect the admin/ mods/ models we WILL slap you". And every once in a while there are new members who are obviously trolls yet they don't seem to comprehend that. They're like "You are so stupid that you can't even follow basic directions" like, no, that person clearly didn't want to follow basic directions because they're there only to stir shit up and you're the stupid ones for not figuring that out.
Jeeeeze, and they claim to be HEALTHY....um...

I would send someone a ticket literally to come and slap me. It wouldn't end well lmao.

Damn I actually mentioned once that my BMI was 13 and they were like "Yesss go girl I'm so jealous you're such a hard worker".

Competitions, tips (which are nothing more than what's plastered all over MPA), confessions, photos of members' bodies and/ or faces. Lots of those come from the models and other fashion industry workers that are members there. It's spicier than what's at surface-level, but overall one can easily live without it.

It was definitely interesting seeing that they look like humans. Very unexpected, I know, but I was actually expecting to see a bunch of dark entities with horns and whatnot.
This definitely sounds like toxic ED heaven, tbh, definitely the kind of thing I would revel in and scroll through for hours, just triggering myself with daily bouts of masochism.

And lmao that they said that to you, I feel like people on there try and pretend eating disorders don't exist?? I don't know why, but that seems to be the vibe - whenever there's a clearly very underweight model posted on here we all immediately go "ah yes, anorexia" and I've seen members here also speculate singers and actors with a BMI >19 have EDs just based on weight alone. Yet on there the vibe is completely different, to the point of someone having to tattoo eating disorder on their forehead at a BMI of 14 for them to acknowledge that there might be something wrong. I dunno, just my impression of it.

Thanks for the insight!
