A weight loss calculator 10x better than Losertown (occasionally. Apparently I visited the site on a good night 😂)

I was comparing different websites BMR calculators, hoping to find an accurate answer, and found a site called Legion Athletics (Weight Loss Calculator: Calculate Calorie Deficit | Legion)
— I feel like a found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It has every calculator you could possibly want (associated with calories and weight), and has the best weight loss calculator I’ve ever found. For the most accuracy you calculate your body fat percentage (all you need is a measuring tape), then put in your stats, your goal weight, and the day you want to reach it by. Then, it actually TELLS YOU how many calories you need to eat per day, and if it’s too fast it makes recommendations on changes (like the minimum amount you should eat and changing your goal date).
For example, add your stats:

Then add your goal, and it auto generates the calories:

sadly for me it completely overestimates it and says I need like 2700 calories to maintain and that my BMR is 1800.

My BMR is from experience 1500, and if I'm completely sedentary I already maintain at 1650(also from experience.). With 10K steps I can get my maintenance to 2100-2200 maximum. Even though I did put there that I am sedentary it still gave me such an overkill result :/

That sucks. I always assume mine is actually lower than any of the calculators tell me, just from having a slow metabolism with restricting. I thought it was probably underestimating my body fat percentage, but I thought the weight loss calculator was kinda awesome.

A TDEE of 705 calories? that's what I cut on and lose close to 3 kgs a week

Image

Katch says TDEE of 1555 calories

And benedict says 1056

tbh at this point I feel like is easier to lose than to maintain 🙃 🙃, because I can definitely eat less than what they say but eat what they tell me and gain? I'll kill myself

It's about right if I go smack dab in the middle of the MSJ and Katch-McArdle. Little higher on the former and a little lower on the latter. But that's using sedentary to cover every day regardless of whatever activity I manage, I don't fuck with activity estimates on these things

Lol 705. Looks like that's a site glitch since it's still showing your height in imperial for whatever reason. Weight and height are matching for me when it gives expected Mifflin estimates

justcico.com is also one of my favourite calculators similar to losertown, along with a calendar of estimates it also has a feature where you can input a specific GW and get an exact date which i like. it’s the most accurate one i’ve found so far but is probably less so at lower weights due to changes in metabolism or similar things it might not be able to fully account for using BMR/TDEE. generally i lose at a similar pace to what it says though, if all goes well with intake.

No not for me.

It says for me to get to my goal I need to eat 903 calories a day and have a deficit of at least 700 calories.

Fuck that.

I got down to my goal last time eating an average of 1300-1400 and an average of 3000 steps total a day with 0 exercise.

I'm sticking with SailRabbit. It's been most accurate for me.

Losertown isn't realistic. It gives numbers like you are a machine. Not a person.
