Are you pro or against fruit? too carby or nice that most is low cal? Too much sugar or a good way to avoid sugary junk food binges? Just your general thoughts on fruit? I say fruit but I'm excluding bananas because ew. In particular your thoughts on berries, grapes and apples because that is the majority of what I eat and I want to know what other people think?

I'm all for fruit. I mostly try to eat food as close to it's natural source as possible, but I usually only have one piece a day, two tops haha.

I mean, yeah it has sugars, but I prefer to consume these, where I try to avoid processed sugars where possible.

Apples are one of my fruit staples, only because unfortunately berries are so expensive where I live and are only available for a short time each year. I like them as they are crunchy and are a good source of fiber.

Fruit never leads me to a binge, so I keep it in my safe list :)

a little scared. too much sugar etc. but i like to use berries and bananas in smoothies to balance out the greens and stuff.

but if i have an apple it feels like a meal because i don't trust the sweet taste ;) its just me being a little paranoid. i guess fruit are actually very good to prevent worse binges.

My current relationship with fruit: Its complicated

fruits alone are a tasty, low calorie snack. but they won't fill you up - maybe for a while, the water and pectins will fill your tummy, then after 30 minutes, you're like, HUNGRY! but I like fat free greek yogurt with an apple cut in cubes, its like soo yummy and helps you poop XD natural yogurt will be ok too!

BUUUUUttttt

sometimes it's so easy to eat like a kilo of strawberries. or 3 apples at once. at least I could.

then I'm like, THE SUGARRRR sugarr sugar omg what to do

so I purge or hate myself, yeah.

guess it depends on the person.

PS If I'd eat like 2000 cals of fruit and get to 15 bmi, I'D DO IT

but I'm really scared tbh what if I gain XD

I eat it as a treat. Like if I really feel like I've done well I'll eat a couple strawberries or a handful of blueberries or some watermelon.

I'm a vegetable galllll all the way.

Some fruit is higher in calories and sugar than others. For instance, dried fruit is often thought of as a healthy snack but in actuality, the fact that it's been dehydrated means it's more calorie dense than a non-dehydrated piece of fruit. On the other hand, fruits like clementine, watermelon, or strawberries have a very high water-content so they're less calories dense than other options.

I personally don't eat much fruit just because I tend to avoid buying food that can go bad, since I don't like to waste food when I decide not to eat.
