Refeeding at home?

Has anyone ever been thru refeeding at home? Went 8 days fasting with very little liquid. Then tried consuming the last 3 days. Every time I try, I break out in sweats head to toe. Then nausea. My lower legs and feet and ankles are swollen and even after hours of elevation don't go down much. I have passed out a few times. My blood pressure is low. Last check was 86/58. I have social anxiety and rarely leave my apt. So the thot of going to the hosp isn't an option. Any suggestions other than call 911 or go to hosp or Dr would be appreciated. Thanks!

im refeeding on my own. i would rec 5-10cal/kg everyday. slowly increase it over the course of a week. thats what i read in a research paper. also another research paper said to be careful of thiamin(b1), potassium, magnesium, phosphate levels. and ofc sodium. look up the papers and check them out yourself. im on day 3 of refeed. and im not experiencing your refeed syndrome symptoms like nausea/sweats/swelling. please be careful. refeed edema is super painful. and i think that refeed syndrome is dangerous. stick to whole foods, avoid processed since processed has high levels of sodium and you rly wanna b careful with sodium when your bod/hormones are super sensitive to electrolyte balance rn. to sum, 1. start low cal and increase slowly 2. supplement potassium, magnesium, phosphate, thiamin, vit d 3. drink plenty water 2-4L 4. watch sodium level 5. wait out swelling/bloating bc thats due to higher intake of sodium and the kidney retaining water. that will balance itself out in abt a week

I have no tips because at this point you are in very real need of medical attention.

I've had refeeding syndrome before and it's life threatening.

I did end up at ER sunday. I'm home now with a follow up PCP dr appt this afternoon. Because of malnutrition/starvation/dehydration my body is trying to hold on to fluid nutrients or whatever it can. Fluid in chest/abdominal wall is what is causing the pain. Solution is complicated because of my missing parts. Normally a feeding tube. I'm not tube eligible. I was also to be on bedrest until the pcp says. ER Dr said 2 weeks, but I live alone and have never been able to obey bedrest.
Results:
Potassium low
Cl high
CO2 low
Calcium low
Albumin low
Prealbumin low
Total protein low
A/G ratio low
WBC low
RBC low
Hgb low
Hct low
Triponin showed a rise
We will see if Dr does anything. ER did blood work, urine, xray, and ekg. Nothing else. I'm not expecting much. Go. Blah blah. Leave. Waste of time. Just wanted to give y'all an update.

Can I ask about the tube not being an option? You don't have to reply. I'm just curious.
