omg okay so i totally do have a few lower cal food recs for there if you feel like/get the chance to try some of them actually:D (also lil disclaimer: i don't live in serbia but fam is from there originally + i spent a lot of summers there as a kid + love the food there so much lol). but yeah, basically a few snacks that are quite easy to find almost anywhere there and that i'd highly recommend are:
  • Bananice -> basically a marshmallow candy covered in dark chocolate, theyre shaped like mini bananas and are kind of a classic/old school candy i guess lol but they're about 100 cals each iirc and really good :')
  • Plazma keks -> mildly sweet and crunchy biscuits, theyre common to use for cakes and desserts but also great on their own for a sweet-but-not-too-sweet kind of snack and they're 37 cals apiece
  • Eurokrem -> admittedly not very low cal tbh haha but u can find it in single-portion containers that are reasonable. It's a sweet spread that can be used for bread, pancakes/waffles, fruit (anything that nutella could go with essentially) and typically sold as half of the container being the brown/chocolate flavour and the lighter half is hazelnut and then you can either mix the two or eat them separately. Literally one of my all time favourite foods lmao <3
  • Smoki -> crunchy peanut flavour corn puffs, also a pretty "classic" snack that can be found in any shop, the sweet-to-savoury ratio is absolute heaven lol and the peanut butter flavour is super strong and authentic. again not super low cal sadly lol but since they're quite light and crispy, a small portion goes a long way and feels decently high-volume for the cals.

OMG anyway. sorry for typing so much ahh, was just really excited to share some good snack recommendations with you😂 in any case, i truly hope your exam goes well and that you have a great time at the concert/in serbia! sounds like a really fun and exciting trip you planned🥰
omg thank you so much xx i love bananice, always got them when travelling (central) eastern europe!! will defo check out plazma keks and eurokrem too 🥰
and thank you for the well wishes on the trip, having a nightmare reorganising accom at the moment but hopefully will get something sorted! also the exam went really well ty!!

hi everyone, hope you're all well. had my final exam today, went suprisingly well (except a few annoying grammar errors and an incident of writing down the wrong word by accident but oh well), glad it's out the way now so i just have to focus on the graphics on my uni magazine so we can get it published in time. also having a bit of a nightmare with my trip, turns out the hostel i booked seems to be a bit dodgy and everywhere else is sold out (at least on the last night im there), so im trying to get a seemingly trustworthy woman to couch surf with for at least that one night which isn't ideal but better than being left on the streets at night in a foreign country 😭 otherwise ill have to cancel and ill lose the ticket cost for the concert and up to 100 on the flight (accom is pay on arrival thankfully) ahhh so much stress. anyway here's yesterday's food
Image

organix farm animal biscuits (29) and unpictured tea with coconut and rice milk and sweetener (unfinished) (9)
Image

vegan spinach and olive megadlioni with red bell pepper, homemade tomato and garlic sauce and vegan parmesan (559)
Image

maltesers ice cream bar (128)
Image

myprotein cookies and cream double dough protein brownie (247)
Image

carrot cake oat bar (122)
Image

vanilla and white choc protein bar (229)
Image

squishmallow bar (66)
(total 1389)

breakfast
Image

oatmeal with cottage cheese, strawberries and pb
lunch
Image

wholewheat penne with light cooking cream and vegan prosciutto

dinner
Image
Image

lemon glazed tempeh with peas and runny egg
five amaretti
went a little over my daily calorie limit today but trying to be okay with it. i got locked out of my house because i forgot my keys inside and my roomates were all out until after dinner so i went to the student union's office. they had a whole pack of amaretti on the desk, right next to where i was seated and i had not eaten any dinner. i had to physically move them away from me to stop eating them; also, i took one home so i could weigh it because i'm #normal. having to eat dinner after my usual time limit for eating put me in a sour mood but hitting my macros is more important i guess! at least my ed has its priorities straight.
anyway, hope everyone is doing well 🖤

This is my first time posting on this thread! I've been lurking for over a year now, and I just want to say that I love looking at everyone's meals! I find it endearing that I can recognize each and every one of you just by your dishes and the way you all take your photos 😊

Today I had did an OMAD from 12:30-1pm. It says "1:30", but it was actually 1:00. For "breakfast" I had black coffee. Then at around 12:30, I broke my fast with boiled carrots and cabbage, and roasted veggies with mustard and honey. Then for my dessert I had Greek yogurt and homemade granola for a total of 630 calories!
That granola looks awesome!! Would you have a recipe? — the few times I’ve tried to make granola, I can’t say it’s turned out very well 😅

Ok, I finally found an ACTUAL recipe for high protein desserts.

Because I've been making hazardous concoctions 😂

I made "Fluffy Yogurt" from Tiktok

This tastes so much better than what I made !

I used Hershey pudding mix instead of sugar free pudding, but it's still 40 grams of protein❤

Oh thank you!! And yes I can give you the recipe 😊 it's a spin-off of my mom's!

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup coconut flakes
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup allulose syrup
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp flax seeds
  • 2 egg whites

  1. Combine all of your dry ingredients, then add in the syrup and egg whites.
  2. Preheat your oven to 360°F/ 180°C. If you have the convection setting on your oven, I recommend using that too.
  3. Bake for 18-22 minutes, depending on how crispy you want it.
  4. Let cool for 10 minutes, it should be crispy and slightly warm.
I usually split this into 3 servings, and it should be around 150kcal and 6g of protein per serving!

Thank you so much! I’ve never tried with egg white before; that might be the missing link!

going thru somewhat of a (non ED related) health scare/situation/idk right now and it's honestly stressing me out quite a bit :/ the stupid thing is i'm not even particularly afraid of something being wrong me really, as depressing as it sounds idrc what happens nor do i have a strong urge to go out of my way to take care of my well-being; i'm MUCH more afraid of having to do medical tests and generally go through physical pain etc. pretty sure i have a legit phobia of medical stuff/going to the dr lmao, anything more than getting blood tests done makes me panic so bad and feels like idk a massive intrusion of personal space or something :/ if it wasn't for the fact that i don't want to hurt/disappoint my family, i'd probably rarely/never go the doctor of my own free will, ignore symptoms and gaslight myself about them/pretend it's not happening, and just die of some random/minor thing that could've been easily treated (and lowkey look forward to getting a way to Leave without actually Doing Anything... like passive un alive, yk?)🤡

You're welcome!!

I like to use the egg whites in place of olive oil. It makes it lower in calories while keeping the clumps and crunchiness!

Make sure to beat them until frothy too, I forgot to mention!
