Pizza Hut calories? Is this correct?

Hey everyone! This is my first thread on mpa (I've been lurking for a while before creating an acc) and it's about pizza hut lmao.

So my boss decided we should have a pizza party (Insert me freaking out silently) and I'm gonna join in because I don't want anyone to think there's something wrong, and since they know I'm vegan I can easily ask for a vegetarian pizza with no cheese.
To be safe tho, I went looking for how many calories there were in a pizza hut pizza and I was shocked. The veggie pizza (with cheese) is 192kcal per slice! I'm a high restrictor at 800-1000 daily kcals so I think I can eat at least 2 slices (3 if I skip breakfast) and still be within my budget.

The thing is, even though this info was on their website, I'm a little suspicious lol. It sounds like too little for a pizza, could they be lying?

Note: I guess the calorie information varies between countries (I'm European if that helps), but I really just wanna know if there's a chance I'm being deceived and it's like wayyyyy higher than what they say

Thank you in advance!

Nope, That seems pretty accurate. However, If you remove the cheese then the calories will most likely go down to 80-100 calories per slice, since cheese is so high in calories. Good luck!

the calories are pretty accurate but the only issue is it's fucking fast food pizza and i swear i've never seen a pizza (i dont eat pizza but my boyfriend orders them sometimes) actually cut symmetrically. so if you get one of the bigger slices, yeah, it's obviously higher cal. or lower if it's one of the miniature "i've never held a pizza cutter in my life" slices.

sneak a food scale to work lmao measure that bitch

True lol I'm already not going to have an accurate kcal count because I'm taking the cheese off and they don't have the nutritional value of cheese on their info but that way I know that even if the slice isn't cut accurately the lack of cheese will make up for it xDD

the calories are just estimates, never too exact, especially nutrition labels. This isn’t meant for us to freak out, just know the nutrition facts can be 25% off in real life. There are so many factors that the calories can be different. Maybe the chef was using a fist to slab cheese on the pizza, etc etc

Yeah, that was mostly why I was suspicious. I ended up ordering the pizza (without cheese) and just ate 2 slices! It tidied me up until dinner and I didn't stress too much about it ahahah

I feel like the dough itself would be 80 calories lol nvm with mushrooms/sauce/veggies/etc added on.

I also think the calories on the website seem a little low and there's really not a ton of regulation.

Good luck, try to enjoy it!

Lmao "I've never held a pizza cutter in my life"-God that made me laugh. I worked in a pizza shop in High School and I would sometimes help with slicing when we were busy and literally you'd get the largest piece of your life or a size fit for a toddler. 😂
