Will this help? Can I get away with say 1200 calories a day without losing my mind and bp'ing. I started purging before knowing how bulimia is very addicting because I have to get rid of all of the fat on my body. I don't want to waste all my time and money anymore

I know it can help some people, so it is worth trying, but in my experience, if you don't work on whatever is causing you to b/p you're gonna keep doing it. Topamax has completely killed my appetite and drive to b/p but I'm still doing it because I don't know how to cope otherwise (other than cutting, but that's not an option with my job)

If you're able, I strongly recommend this. It was the first step I took to quitting b/p thanks to advice from @renyan. (Haven't seen you around lately so if you see this, hi lmao.)

I'll be real: 1200 is probably too low, because iirc you're male? Forgive me if I'm wrong.

You should aim for TDEE, even if you end up falling a bit short of or slightly exceeding it. Also accept that you will gain lots of water and food weight, and be prepared to cope in advance.

It's not a cure-all, but I do better when I'm eating regular meals. Even though my binges are mostly emotionally or psychologically driven, being chronically hungry makes them worse and more likely to happen. As far as the calorie amount goes, 1200 is pretty restrictive for an average sized adult, but I'd focus on getting the structure in place first before you worry about the numbers. I definitely do not hit my TDEE on a pretty regular basis (luv my stomach issues luv my life), but even just eating at regular intervals and allowing myself food is enough to make binging less appealing.

Ok thank you I'm trying this, this day. if I can get my life back I can live with putting pause on weight loss.
For some strange reason eating any food feels like it will add fat/weight because ive done the no eating outside of BP so much. I know it's irrational and eating just 100 cals under tdee is fine! I just have to convince myself and let it sink in

Ya yesterday I bp'd because I wanted to hurt myself and BP feels like it to me. And today I did it too but because it's been a bad day and I just want to turn my brain off and not think or feel anything

I've been more mindful of all the things that make me BP now.

I want to switch to this 3 meals 2 snacks so bad because food has stopped being a thing to nourish my body and it's turned into mostly an addicting form of entertainment or feeling good/better as a coping mechanism.
