basically I went to a doctor appointment they noticed weight lose. The same day they told me to go to outpatient, from there my vitals, bloods, EKG etc. were taken and they sent me to the hospital right away.

Twice: first time I had lost a lot of weight since the previous appointment a week earlier; second time she did an ECG and my QT interval was long. Both times I was sent to the ER, the first time I stayed in hospital for one night but wasn’t scheduled or anything, the second time I was scheduled and kept for two weeks in bed-rest, 1:1 nursing, ng tube, iv fluids, cardiac holster. I was 26 at the time, also in Australia.

I had to go to the doctor for something unrelated, they weighed me and told me I was severely underweight (I actually had no idea) and it all spiraled from there. I don't regret it though; although I've now relapsed, that period of recovery did enable me to get through my exams, which I wouldn't have managed otherwise.

I went to the doctors and having weighing me and doing orthostatic vitals they told me to go to the hospital where I was admitted and was put on 1:1 and had sessions with the hospital psych and dietitian and then eventually they allowed me to discharge as long as I entered a residential program and because my family was with me they made me go. After that point I got hospitalized a lot mostly because I’d feel like shit and knew something was wrong and would go to the ER and they’d keep me till my blood work and electrolytes stabilized. So only the first time did it majorly fuck things up by leading to res.

I've literally lost count of how many times I've been hospitalized, mostly for low weights and fucked up bloodwork

First time my Ed was really picked up on was when I was ip for my depression and then they obviously noticed my restricting weight bloods etc and then I had to do a specialised Ed programme when I was transferred from one hospital to another
Every other time it's been forced by doctor and parents or psychiatrist due to my bmi, I was sectioned before so I stand no chance even though I'm 24 🙈 really depends where you are and your physical health along with how your doing mentally!

I was hospitalized shortly after being diagnosed with anorexia for the first time. I was at a pretty low weight, and while I was still eating quite a bit imo, it still wasn't enough apparently. I was given a kinda ultimatum of either getting treatment for the anorexia or else I wouldn't be able to receive help anymore for my depression by my team at the time. It sucked, and I didn't want to recover, but I did not think I would be able to stay alive if I had to just tough it out alone with my depression. The worst part is that after leaving the eating disorders treatment center, my team said they didn't have a spot for me anymore, which is kinda fucked up. I ended up not being able to see them anymore either way! Well, now here I am, still with an ed, just fatter than before and it's been almost 5 years since that time. At least my depression is way better.

Bloodwork is always beyond shit for me, a clean give away. Last time I went in it was down to 2.1 (as well as most of my other levels) and my vitals were 69/41. Heart rate at 160 then dropped to 57, ECG was all over the place, messed. Weight had gone down 10kg in a little less then a month, severe muscle breakdown. BMI was "far too low", organs and heart on the cusp of failure.

Malnourishment can't always be hidden, was admit to the ICU and then transported to the hospital.

As a minor it was always parents and physician admitting me.
