Ive been doing a lot of cardio, but i don't think its doing enough to tone and slim my body down. A lot of people do other exercises but i don't really know what they do and don't know what to do with weights! Please help!

Try squats for legs (and bum if you go low), hip thrusts for bum (they are great!), this wee ab set is great - 30 sec each of crunch, leg raises, this hill climber thing? (You like get on all fours and sorta kick your leg to elbow one at q time), and plank. Then repeat as many times as poss. No breaks even between sets. It. Kills. Haha

They're my fav for toning up:) oh and use weights for squats and hip thrusts

No problem:) they really are! I seen a difference instantly! Esp with abs! Like I got that line between ribs quite heavy and a veery light 4 pack! I know it was just the muscles swollen from the tearing and lack of body fat covering that area but it was super motivating!!!!

That's like saying "Teach me how to build an internal combustion engine." It's not that hard, but it will take a few years to learn how to exercise properly. I have been working as a personal trainer and strength coach for about 7 years now, making as much as $75/hr. How could I have done that, if you could just learn what I know within the scope of an internet forum?

If you have the money, hire someone like me. If you're really interested, you could just study the discipline (i.e. get a personal training certification and then enroll in a degree program).

The easiest introduction would probably just be to download one of the many fitness apps and start picking up one exercise at a time. I would probably start with the core exercises and work backwards (e.g. row, squat, deadlift, bench press, overhead press). These are more technique intensive and will take longer to learn, but you will waste less time than if you start with various isolation and assistance exercises. If you don't have a smart phone, you could still find all of the same stuff on websites. Youtube.com can be very helpful, but also has a lot of crap. Bodybuilding.com is pretty good, most of the time. Exrx.net is one of the better resources. You could also just check out the websites for NSCA, NASM, ACSM, etc.

Feel free to reply or PM me with any questions, but please make them a little more specific!
