Hi all....

I have to get weighed by my doctor in an few weeks and have definitely lost at least 5 lbs after promising her to gain. How can I add weight to my clothes without being obvious (pockets full of clinking quarters, etc? Wouldn't she notice even rolls of quarters in my pockets? Obviously I can drink a lot of water but I don't think these will be enough to add 8 lbs or so. And clothes can only weigh so much.

Any good suggestions? Thanks so much!

Salt up. eat tons of pickles starting a few days before (cause low cal salty food) and that should add a few lbs of water retention. then load up on water the day of and if you can eat something heavy like lots of oatmeal or watery fruits like watermelon or pineapple. thats what i will be doing when i go for a check up this summer (hah already planned it far in advance)

Good ideas- thank you! How much water can I drink? I can eat a huge breakfast and also wear heavy clothes (jeans, heavy sweater, etc.

yeah wear the heaviest clothes you have, maybe a belt and heavy earrings and a metal necklace maybe (the fashionable chunky ones can weigh some) i would drink as much as you can stomach, but don't force too much because you can drink too much and die actually so just don't push it too hard with the water id do more salt a few days before than too much water the day of

WATERMELON!!! It's all water, therefore you can eat tons and gain tons and pee it all out within a day!! I find if I wear more makeup I gain weight, maybe its just paranoia... Wear like 3 pairs of socks, stuff your bra, wear extra underwear. Wear leggings under your jeans. Heavy jewelry. Wear a few shirts under your sweater. Drink tons of water. Stand with your feet close together towards the front or the back of the scale, it doesn't let the weight space out. You can tell I've done this a few times before lol.

1) Water Loading. 1L of water = 1Kg (2.2lbs) so drink heaps of water just before you go in. You can get your body to retain lots of water by having salt the day before and restricting water that day.

2) Wear your heaviest clothing, and things with pockets. In your pockets keep things like coins, phones, even batteries? The doctor may ask you to remove but no harm in trying,

3) Load weights into your underwear? Sounds silly but I put rocks in my bikini (fishing sinkers or other weights work too). My bikini top has a small hole in the corner of each cup, where you can remove the padding...so I put rocks in there and wore a baggy shirt and got away with it.

I can't handle water loading, salt/water retention, eating lots allahead of time, etc...i know it's not real weight but it still makes me feel like shit. I have used ankle weights that you just strap on under bigger sweatpants or yoga pants with flared bottoms. I wore them for when the nurse weighed me, then went to the bathroom and took them off before the doctor came in!

Oh great idea- I had no clue about watermelon. And I can definitely wear leggings under my jeans- thank you!

and if you have your hair up, you can pin something into it
Lol. Maybe I can pin a big barbell into it- or a bone, like Pebbles Flintstone.

Yes! Belt! Great idea.

I just don't know about a lot of stuff clanging around in my pockets. I think she'd notice because she examines me right then in the same room. I wonder if I could squeeze two pairs of jeans on?

Thank you all so much! I have to look like I've gained at least five or six pounds I think, or I'm in trouble. :(

It probably only works for guys but I once wore sweats to that kind of thing and put an 8 ball down my pants. Added and extra 2 pounds with the other stuff and no one was the wiser.
What i use: Water, salt, batteries, rolls of coins, etc

I thought I had a doctor's appointment on the 19th (got it wrong. Really on the 29th) I showed up knowing I was going to get in trouble so I was wearing my fight eating disorders braclet ( ironic I know but it is heavy), my earrings, a necklace, my rosary beads, shirt, sweater, skirt, heavy tights, a jacket, snow boots.

And on the way I ate a bag of salty chips and drank a bottle of soda.

All that and I got the appointment wrong. Oh well. I'll have to do it again on the 29th.

I meant like you can hide something in your hair by pinning it in :p

Are they giving you any medications? If so, I would really recommend honesty. I made that mistake in the hospital (poor nurse didn't know about my eating disorder and asked me my weight instead of actually weighing me). It was fun at first, but that didn't last long.

If not, have a high calorie day before hand for the food weight and get a lot of sodium in you!

Would rocks/pebbles be less clanky/jingly than coins? Just a thought.

Didn't the doctors actually notice the faking? Since even do all these stuff it's noticeable we didn't gain or even lost? Or do they just not saying us unless it's too much (too low weight or too fast lost)?

Is your hair long? Put it in a pony tail, put batteries in your hair.

Sew curtain weights into the bottom of your pants.

Water load!!

What would you guys suggest for having to be in your underwear to be weighed? These are ALL really great ideas!

what about using those weights people put round the ankles im sure your doctor wouldn't see them under thick jeans and then waterload as much as you can drink tea, coffee and get that body retaining it. drs wouldn't bat an eyelid. However if you have eating issues history of ed behaviours they may think twice

When I was at inpatient getting weighed in my underwear and a hospital, I would secretly have a pair of shorts on under the gown. I shoved anything I could into my pockets - bottle of moisturizer, lots of jewelry, etc. Anything to add even just an ounce more of weight. They forced us to pee before weigh in so I would pee half of what was in me out and then save the rest for right before breakfast. Never got caught and it worked just fine.
