So I had the thought and just had to look up if fingernails and calories because I am a huge nail biter. Idk if this is true but I think it is enough to stop me biting my nails..... Along with the coronavirus of course.

slightly OT but i remember last summer i randomly wondered [ok ok it was probably because of MPA] if they had calories so i asked the google home speaker. the volume was super loud when it replied, and i had my windows open- didn't see the landlord right outside the kitchen window doing yardwork until it was too late.

sooo he heard my google speaker explain the nutritional content of fingernails  oops

I mean do you rip off your entire nail and eat it? Because I think that what the label is referring to is if you're actually eating the entire nail. I've never been a nail biter (i just pick at them lol) so idk if y'all swallow what you bite off, but if you do it's going to be less than a 1/2 calorie if the entire nail is 2 calories.
Ye it is for a whole nail but still

 lots of different bugs have a decent amount of protein!

'nutritional facts of various insects' may or may not be another thing i've recently googled

Is it wrong that now I'm genuinely curious about your findings?

well first i looked for fleas, specifically. i was disappointed by the lack of results. BUT i learned that cockroaches produce a milky-like substance that is packed with nutrition to help the eggs/larvae/ develop. caterpillars, beetles, crickets and grasshoppers are also common bugs snacks.

it was actually really interesting!

Today I learned that fingernails have calories and protein and that eating bugs is kind of healthy. It does seem pretty interesting though to think about
