Calories in fries

Does anyone knows how many calories are in fries? We eat fries every 2weeks and I don't dare to eat a "normal" portion of them because I live in Belgium and the portions here seems HUGE (compaired to mcdonalds fries etc) The internet says that one portion (200g) is 500 kcal but is this true? And how much is it? Like 1cup or a handful idk i'm freaking out everytime ugh

There are too many variables for us to give you an answer here unfortunately. Sorry :( Even giving us a picture could be a starting point, but type of potato, thickness of cut, oil they are cooked in vs baked, seasonings added etc all add up
