""105-107 ""Well these are the numbers I've been hovering around to and honestly I'm sedentary ..the tdee calculaters online estimate 1400-1500 calories for my maintainace and honestly ..I've averaged at 1750 calories for the week (few binges and two 1300 calorie days) I haven't really gained any weight ...so do you guys really trust these calculaters??

And I've completely lost my sense of control and restriction powers like I just can't restrict anymore going 1000 calories seems impossible and a huge achievement ..since I can't eat less than 1600 despite it being higher than my tdee ..why is this happening ..I just can't stop this .I want to go low again dammit

They are generally accurate if you input all the correct information. It is hard for many of us to accurately estimate our activity level which is maybe why your TDEE Calculator is a bit low, maybe you underestimated your activity a bit.

another quetion does the tdee on the fitbit app without owning a fitbit watch work+

It´s an indication. The TDEE is influenced by many factors, as well as the BMR.

A huge factor is the BF%/muscle mass. If you have higher BF your body will burn less cals resting, than with a high muscle mass at the same weight/height, because muscles also during resting need more energy.

Another factor is your body chemistry/hormon balance. Those also influence your metabolism and can make you burn more or less calories.

Those standard calculators always only can give an average indication. If you maintain at a higher cal intake it means you probably have low BF. So congrats.

I always maintain on higher than what TDEE calculators estimate.

Not by a huge amount, but if I eat what they say my TDEE is I end up losing weight.

For example, I'm 84lbs and 5'3 and I'm sedentary. My TDEE is apparently 1300-1400 according to calculators, but I eat 1800ish to maintain my weight (hence I lose on the calculated amount).

So I tend not to use them as they're not accurate for me personally, but they must be somewhat accurate for the general population or else they would have revised the calculation I think.

I think the best way to determine your true TDEE is to eat at a certain amount of calories for a few weeks and see how your weight changes (or does not change) on that amount. If you maintain, that's your TDEE but if you lose, that amount is below your personal TDEE.

tldr: don't trust online calculators and eat what works for you. if you maintain on 1750 calories, then that's your TDEE regardless of what calculators say :)

How old are you? And are you male or female?

Or actually, here, you can do this yourself. I use this website. It uses multiple different BMR Formulas that have been created over the years, and then it figures out the AVERAGE for you. Just make sure that at the bottom, where it says "Enter Your Own" that you delete the 0's because that WILL affect the final average number if you leave them in there. So make sure you delete them. Also, you don't need to enter your Body Fat % if you don't know it.

It's so much more complicated than just working out a TDEE. (weightloss i mean)

It is veryyy general.

I could have a high deficit for days and nothing. But, that is not to say it will not work for you, just saying weight loss and our bodies aren't linear and weight can be easily computed to x + y

Going on here lmao.
