I’ve managed to lose 20 lbs in 1.5 months via restricting but Ive hit a plateau and still have 15 lbs to go. Does anyone have any tips to appear thinner (or at least not look like a cow) in the meantime? I’m an atypical so Im not clinically underweight and need all the help I can get 😅

My 1st reaction was "cure your body dysmorphia" lmao but that applies more to ME (ETA: and you ofc OP if you also struggle w it; I'm afraid of showing my body bc I think I look hideous and fat even tho I'm not so I mostly hide in clothes too)

My tip: don't show your upper thighs. Knee length dresses. Hiding in knee length dresses bc I felt too fat for anything else ruined them for me tho.

what ivansblackcat and Name: said about the thighs. that's why i only wear skirts. like i literally only own one pair of jeans and i don't remember the last time i wore them. i look skinny as fuck when i'm dressed bcs of the skirt. i usually wear sheer black tights w designs bcs black tights make your legs look thinner.

if you wanna consider this, i'm gonna have to say that if you're not used to wearing skirts out you will feel weird and overdressed at first but after a couple weeks you will feel normal. ppl rarely wear skirts in my town so people do stare sometimes but now i barely notice them.

this is why i wear skirts almost every day! i swear my legs look so much skinnier in tights, and my thighs are disproportionately larger than my calves so i feel much better when they're covered up. i also like baggy sweaters, so you can't really see my body shape that well. idk if this.l work for you but that's pretty much my outfit formula.

it depends what areas of your body you want to minimize! for me i'm insecure about my large waist/belly, so skater skirts and a-line dresses with a belt are more flattering since it gives the illusion of wider hips. if it's upper arms, try shirts with loose sleeves that go to the elbow. if it's thighs, a flared skirt that goes to the knee.

congrats on 20 lbs down!

black/dark colours/vertical lines are slimming of course

but it depends what parts of you are thinner that you want to show off. like everyone else said i have thicker upper thighs, so i'll wear shorter length skirts and if they hit at the right angle it'll make your legs appear thin. Or you can wear an oversized top/hoodie and yoga pants. also, looser items that are fitted to be closer to your body can give you the "baggy" look without looking frumpy

I'm usually not a fan of high neck unless i'm at a point where i'm flat chested because it makes my upper body feel kind of chunky.

if you can add heels/shoes with some height that also gives you an elongated look.

Bell bottom jeans are great if you carry weight in your thighs (also baggy 80's-90's style jeans) (high rise jeans/pants in general also) and a snug/tight fitting top paired with a loose unzipped jacket or flannel (top tucked into your pants) and if you own some shoes that have a little bit of a heel those are great too as it helps you look thinner and helps your legs look longer)

I'm pretty sure I wrote that in a grammatically awkward way, sry bout that, my brain is running at half capacity lol.

black is slimming, high ponies draw back the skin on your face, bigger clothes, platform shoes make legs appear slimmer

oversized shirts, black, straight leg pants, heels, skirts that end just below the biggest part of ur thighs
